Star tight end Travis Kelce has officially committed his future to the Kansas City Chiefs, signing a new three-year contract that will keep him with the franchise through the 2026 season and beyond.
The deal is reportedly valued at $54.375 million, with incentives pushing the total up to $57.735 million. For the 2026 season, Kelce is guaranteed $12 million through a combination of base salary and roster bonuses, with an additional $3 million available in performance-based incentives. The structure of the contract is designed to provide the Chiefs with long-term salary cap flexibility while retaining one of their most iconic players.
Despite being a slight decrease from his previous average annual salary of $17.1 million, the new agreement highlights Kelce’s loyalty to the Chiefs—the only team he has played for during his illustrious NFL career.
Kelce, widely considered a future Hall of Famer, shared his excitement following the announcement.
“Chiefs Kingdom! Let’s go baby! It’s official,” he said. “Excited for 2026 and just excited to put on a Chiefs uniform in front of you guys again. Let’s get Arrowhead rockin’ baby! We’ll see you guys in a few months.”
At 36, Kelce had previously hinted at possible retirement following the 2025 season. Although his numbers dipped slightly—recording 76 receptions and 851 yards, his lowest in over a decade—he remained a crucial leader and playmaker for the Chiefs’ offense.
His return provides a major boost for Kansas City as they aim to remain contenders in the coming seasons, with Kelce continuing to play a central role both on and off the field.
